Using Widgets to Update Your Website

Widgets allow you to add new functions to your website, as well as add content to various pages.

What do Widgets Do?

Widgets can be used to add tools, text, images, videos, and embedded content from third-party sites. InCom offers widgets with real estate–specific features. For example, you can use widgets to:
  • Allow visitors to search for properties within a specific area.
  • Highlight specific properties.
  • Create shortcuts for viewing properties in specific cities.
  • Create custom preset maps.
Widgets can also be used to encourage visitors to leave their contact information, helping you convert them into leads..

How Do I Add A New Widget?

Adding widgets is quick and easy!
  1. From your Dashboard, expand Content and select Widget Manager
  2. You will start the Widget Manager on the Home Page. To add widgets to a different page, navigate to that page using the menu or by changing the URL.
  3. Look through the Widgets Menu on the left
  4. Click and drag any widget
  5. Drop the widget into any of the grey-and-white checkerboard areas.

How Do I Edit a Widget Already on a Page?

Once you've placed a widget onto a page you can find the widget on the page on the right, then make changes to it.
  1. Click on the pencil icon in the top right corner of the widget you want to edit

  2. A settings pop up will appear. The available settings vary depending on the widget’s function.
  3. Make your changes to the widget settings
  4. When finished editing, scroll down and click Save
  5. Close the widgets settings box
  6. The page will refresh and you'll see the changes made to the widget

How Do I delete Widgets?

To delete a widget, look for it on the page to the right.
Warning
Deleted widgets cannot be restored.
  1. Click the red X in the top right corner of the widget 
  2. A confirmation window will appear
  3. Select Yes to delete the widget

Can I Access Existing Widgets from the Widgets Menu?

You can use the Existing Widgets, to locate specific widgets, edit them, delete them, hide them, or view the pages where they appear.
  1. In the Widgets Menu on the left, expand the Existing Widgets section by clicking the + icon at the bottom of the menu

  2. Expand any listed widget type to see the settings for all widgets of that type
  3. If there are multiple widgets available for that type, click Find on Page to locate the one you want
  4. From here you can
    1. edit the settings 
    2. delete the widget 
    3. hide the widget
    4. See all pages which have this widget
