How can I add a button on my website?

Adding Buttons to Your Website

This article guides you through creating a custom button using an online design tool, uploading it to your website via a text widget, and linking it to a specific page. The result is a clickable button on your site that directs visitors to your chosen URL.

How do I add a button to my website?

1. Create the Button

  1. Search for any free button design site.

  2. Use the provided tools to design your button.

    Info
Most button making tools allow you to customize the button's text content, color, shape, size, and font.

  3. Once satisfied with your design, download the button image and save it to your computer.

  1. Navigate to the webpage you want the button to link to.

  2. Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar.

3. Log In to Your Website

  1. Open your website and access the Dashboard (either click User Login , or if already logged in click Dashboard).

4. Add a Text Widget to Your Page

  1. In the Dashboard's left menu, click Content to expand the options.

  2. Select Widgets Manager.

  3. Navigate to the page where you want the button to appear.

  4. On the left-hand side Add Widgets menu, locate the Text Widget.

  5. Drag and drop the Text Widget onto a checkered area of the page.

  6. Click the Edit (pencil) icon on the top-right corner of the widget on the page.

  7. Delete the default title and sample text from the widget’s body.

  1. In the Text Widget editor, click the Image icon.

  2. Go to the Upload tab, then click Browse and select the button image you saved earlier.

  3. Double-click the file or select it and click Open.

  4. Click Send it to the Server.

  5. Switch to the Link tab and paste the URL you copied earlier.

    Idea
You can click Browse Server to link to a file instead of a webpage. After clicking Browse Server, you can click the +Upload button in the top left corner to add a file, or you can select a file already uploaded to your server. Double click to select the file you'd like the button linked to.

  6. Under Target, choose:

    • Same Window – to open the link in the current tab

    • New Window – to open the link in a new tab

  7. Scroll down and click OK.

  8. Click Save to apply your changes.

6. Preview Your Button

To preview how visitors will see the button:

  1. From the Dashboard, click your website domain link in the top-left corner.

  2. Review the page to ensure the button appears and functions correctly.
