Adding Images to Your Website

This article covers how to add images to your site and optimize images for mobile devices.

How Do I add an Image to my Home Page?

Go to the Widget Manager

Text Widgets allow you to add text and images to your site’s pages. 
  1. From your Dashboard, go to Content > Widgets Manager
  2. Navigate to the page where you'd like to add an image
  3. Add a Text Widget to the page
    1. Click and hold down to drag and drop the Text Widget to any of the grey and white checkered areas on the page

Add the Image

  1. Click the pencil icon to edit the widget, then delete the sample heading and text
  2. In the pop up window, click the picture icon in the toolbar at the top
  3. Choose the photo
    1. If the image is not uploaded to the server:
      1. Go to the Upload tab
      2. Click Choose File 
      3. Select the file on your computer
      4. Hit the Send it to the Server button.
    2. If the image is already uploaded to the server:
      1. Stay on the first tab and click Browse Server 
      2. Find the image, and double click to select it

Adjust the Image Size

For a mobile responsive image, use a percentage for the width so the image resizes relative to the page size:
  1. Go to the Image Info tab
  2. Click the lock icon open
  3. Delete the height and
  4. Set the width to a percentage by entering a number followed by the % symbol.
Alert
When using a percentage, the image will appear distorted in the preview and will correct once saved.
For an image that is not mobile responsive:
  1. Go to the Image Info tab
  2. Type the number of pixels under width or height 
  3. Keep the lock icon closed so the height and width stay proportional 

Save the Changes

  1. Click OK, then click Save, then close the Text Widget by clicking the X in the top right.

How do I Add Images to a Content Page? 

Adding images to content pages is similar to adding them to a Text Widget. 

Create or Edit a Content Page

  1. From your Dashboard, go to Content > Content Manager
  2. Select the Edit link next an existing page or create a new page from +Add A New Page

Add the Picture

  1. Click the picture icon in toolbar
  2. If the image is not uploaded to the server:
    1. Go to the Upload tab
    2. Click Choose File 
    3. Select the file on your computer
    4. Hit the Send it to the Server button
  3. If the image is uploaded to the server:
    1. Stay on the Image Info tab and click Browse Server 
    2. Find the image and double click to select it

Adjust the Image Size
