Making an Image a Link to a File, Page, or Website

Find the Image and Edit the Content Page or Text Widget 

For either way of adding a link, using the link tool or editing the image settings, first you must locate where you must go to edit the picture. 
  1. If you are adding it to a Content Page
    1. Go to Content > Content Manager and Edit the page you'd like to add the photo link to
  2. If you are adding it to a Text Widget
    1. Go to Dashboard > Widgets Manager  and click the pencil icon of the widget you'd like to edit
Making images into links using the link button way allows for linking to external pages and files (websites and files stored elsewhere), as well as internal pages and files (your pages and files).

1. Highlight the Image

  1. Click on the image so it's highlighted in blue
  2. Click on the link button in the toolbar (it looks like chain links)

2. Linking to a Webpage or File

For linking to an external website or internal page:
  1. To link to an External Website: Enter the full URL (e.g. www.incomrealestate.com)
  2. To link to an Internal Page: link the pathway (e.g. /our-team)
For linking to a file:
  1. Click Browse Server to view already uploaded files
  2. To upload a new file while browsing the server, hit the +Upload (top left) to add a new file
  3. Double click on the file you want to select it

3. Choose the Target and Save

  1. Choose how the link opens by selecting a target
    1. From the Target tab, select where the link opens (e.g. New Window or Same Window)
  2. Click OK to save the link
  3. Submit the changes on a content page or Save the changes in a Text Widget
If you are linking to an internal link or file, you can link directly from the image settings. For external links and files, please link using the link tool (see above).

1. Access the Image Settings
  1. Click the image already on your page, then the image icon in the toolbar to access image settings
  2. Go to the Link tab

2. Linking to a Webpage or File

For linking to an external website or internal page:
  1. To link to a site page, put the pathway to the URL box (e.g./our-team)
For Linking to a file:
  1. For linking to a file choose Browse Server to select a file.
    1. Click the +Upload button in the top left corner to add a new file
    2. Double click on the file you want to select it

Choose the Target and Save

    1. Choose how the link opens by selecting a target
      1. From the Target tab, select where the link opens (e.g. New Window or Same Window)
    2. Click OK to save the link
    3. Submit the changes on a content page or Save the changes in a Text Widget
